I am beginning to suspect the CDC folks never actually look at their own data. Or maybe the reading data department is siloed off from the advertizing department.
I lately made it sort of a hobby of mine to see if I can help them out though. Hopefully they don’t feel I’m being a pest.
Oh. And BTW here I got my traditional:
So if you’re looking at this in email and its cut off — follow back to the substack web thingy to see the rest.
Alright.
In case your covid variant pokemon card deck isn’t up to date, “XBB.1.5” is the variant the latest booster shot was brewed up against. And it also turns out if you win half a dozen matches with it, it evolves into a Squirtle.
Igor is really helpful for these CDC posts (actually he helps everyone on X, even his dog was helping for a while), offering up lots of information the CDC folks miss. (They’re so busy with the pandemic and all) I like trying to be helpful too, so I referenced this for them.
Ah — this next one I should have gotten a screenshot of when I sent it. Not completely sure which agency this was (thinking FDA), but think they were advocating bulk turkey meat injector based cocktail vaccination to seniors.
It’s interesting — I engaged in this sort of activity1 more maybe around a year ago, and then would often troll up someone wanting to debunk the VAERS plot or whatever I’d include (my preference is always to try to offer back CDC data, because of course we’re here to help). I’ve replied to maybe a couple dozen of these this September, and this one is the only one I got a reply from. I expect this ‘…md’ was trying to warn me about an upcoming covid variant. Which is a nice thing to do, so of course I gave them a like.
The CDC is so busy they completely missed the end of monkeypox. I mean seeing this, I completely understand the frustration leading people to call for disbanding these national entities, especially with the WHO backing off on their more extreme policies of late. Its becoming clear they’ve turned over a new leaf, and will be a great substitute once we disband the CDC and FDA.
Oh — this one was sort of reversed. This doctor apparently missed some of the helpful information CDC posted.
Admittedly there seems to be a lot of recurring themes in these posts. Compare to the one up a ways — and whenever you can, be sure to offer AOC congratulations — I hadn’t heard she was even married!
Flu season’s coming up I suppose. I really like the cool slang words these guys are adding in. “DYK?”. Bet the kids are really eating that up!
They really are trying to help pregnant women. AOC’s sister too! Thats gotta be a really happy family, all those babies due soon!
FWIW here are the plots I was referring to, from this post
So there we go. Hate to leave you guys with a purple middle finger plot, but keep in mind that’s also how they say hello in many countries, especially I’ve noticed, in France!

Start going after the defence departments. That was the nail in my coffin. Now I cbf contesting anything.
"We've heard that people in some areas have had issues getting the Covid19 vaccine."
Technically true, if you consider that my issue is that I will beat you with an axe handle if you get close to me with that goddamned syringe.
